What is SRRVisa?

The Philippine Retirement Authority’s Special Resident Retiree’s Visa (SRRV) is a special non-immigrant visa that entitles the holder to reside permanently in the Philippines as their second home or an investment destination. They offer different SRRV options depending on the age, background, and needs of the retiree applicant.

SRRV Options

SRRV SMILE

For active and healthy foreign retirees.

  • 35 years old and above
  • Visa deposit of $20,000

    *Visa deposit cannot be converted to active investment and may only be used for the end-of-term obligation.

SRRV CLASSIC

For active/healthy foreign retirees.

  • 35 years old and above
  • Visa deposit varies per tier
    • For 35 to 49 years old: US $ 50,000.00
    • For 50 years old and above:
    – With Pension: US$ 10,000.00
    – Without Pension: US$ 20,000.00

    *Visa deposit may be converted to active investment e.g. purchase of RFO condominium units or long term lease of house/ house and lot

For active/healthy foreign retirees.

  • 50 years old and above who worked for international organizations in the Philippines or former Filipinos 35 years old and above
  • Visa deposit of US$ 1,500.00

SRRV EXPANDED COURTESY

For active/healthy foreign retirees.

  • 50 years old and above who are retired Armed Forces officers of foreign countries with existing military ties/agreements with the Philippine Government and receives a monthly pension of at least US $1,000.00 (for the other group of individuals qualified under the SRRV Expanded Courtesy, please see PRA official website)
  • Visa deposit of US$ 1,500.00

SRRV HUMAN TOUCH

For ailing foreign retirees in need of medical care and assistance.

  • 35 years old and above
  • Visa deposit of US$ 10,000.00

*Certification from the doctor/hospital of a pre-existing health condition of the retiree-applicant and proof of monthly pension of at least US $ 1,500.00 and Health Insurance portable to and acceptable in the Philippines are needed

Qualifications

Principal Applicants must be foreign nationals or former Filipino citizens who are at least 35 years old. Dependents spouse must be legally married to the Principal Retiree. Children must be legitimate or legally adopted by the Principal Retiree, unmarried and below 21 years old upon joining the program.

  • Original valid Passport with valid /updated Temporary Visitor’s Visa
  • Accomplished PRA Application Form
  • Original valid Medical Clearance
  • Original valid Police Clearance from country of origin, and an additional NBI Clearance, if applicant has stayed in the Philippines for over 30 days from last date of entry
  • Photos (8 pieces, 2″x2″)
  • SRR Visa deposit that is inwardly remitted

    • US$1,400.00 Principal applicant
    • US$ 300.00 Dependent applicant
    • Annual Fee of US$360.00 (for the Principal & 2 dependents)
  • Marriage Certificate for joining dependent-spouse
    • Birth Certificate for joining dependent-child.
